Hello, fellow Distorian! I’m Kate, creator of Disney Cicerone. I’m passionate about helping others experience Disney in more meaningful and magical ways, allowing them to fully understand why their love of Disney has personal and social value. My writing and creative work explore the sociological, psychological, emotional, historical, and unique ways Disney’s history and culture influence our lives.
When not wandering in the parks looking at rocks and crates, I’m researching, writing, and posting about obscure park history, little-known facts, and inspiring stories to make you think more deeply about why you love Disney. I am currently an Annual Passholder at Walt Disney World and a Magic Key Holder at Disneyland, have set sail on multiple Disney cruises, and once spent a very magical Christmas at Disneyland Paris.

My Disney Favorites
Favorite Snacks
Hands down, the Raspberry Rose Macarons from the Jolly Holiday Bakery in Disneyland. Other favorites include a churro (but only in Disneyland, WDW churros aren’t the same!) and a Dole Whip float.
Favorite Resort
Disneyland Resort – Grand Californian Walt Disney World Resort – Disney’s Riviera Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Polynesian Resort. I also love Port Orleans Riverside because it’s so peaceful and pretty.
Favorite Moment
Being pulled out of the end of the line for Peter Pan because “Peter shouldn’t have to wait” and riding with no wait! This was after leaving Pixie Hollow visiting Tinkerbell and having a chat with Peter Pan about never growing up. We also dined with Captain Hook at the Plaza Inn for breakfast. It was a magical morning!
